Debut Novel

I'm currently marketing and gearing up to launch my debut novel, The Power Five - a character-driven superhero study. While I ran into some hiccups that delayed the release, they have allowed me to build a foundation for the novel.

The original concept for this story dates back to 2019, with the release of the television adaptations of The Umbrella Academy and The Boys, which were the original inspiration for this story - a gritty take on superheroes- but has become so much more than the original idea. I spent the next year slowly working on the idea in my head, using online programs to draft some character designs and even commissioning art from a local artist and friend.

It wasn't until late 2020, early 2021 that I actually started to write the book. Growing up, I've always considered myself a creative person and have dreamed of creating movies, TV shows, comics, cartoons, and even video games, but none of these tales have become a reality. Once I got heavily into reading (during COVID), I finally decided to bring my stories to life.

The Power Five seemed like the perfect story to get my feet wet in the world of writing. I spent several years hand-writing the first draft, then another year or so working on the second draft, and in the last year I've managed to get through drafts 3 and 4. Now, I believe the novel is ready for release, but with the delays, I've been given the chance to tighten it up more.

I'm looking forward to sharing this story with the world.
